Hear the Wind Blow : a poem of hope

…Hear the wind blow…

As I look all around
All I see is evil come down
And I wonder where mercy is found.
The scorners they stand
And man mistreats man
I wonder where mercy is found…

Then I hear the wind blow
And know not from whence it goes
The storm seems louder each day
Yet the Spirit of God
Moves with hope my way
Salvation has come
Through God’s only Son.

The mockers they say
“Where’s your God today?”
And I look to the skies and pray..
While evil stands
And man mistreats man
Where does my hope truly lay?

Then I hear the wind blow
And know not from whence it goes
And the storm just won’t go away
But the Spirit of God
Moves every day
Salvation has come
Through God’s only Son.

As the clouds gather
As the storms rage
The world seems hopeless
Yet, He conquered the grave…

Then I feel the wind blow
And at last I know
The Son of Man
Has always known
Which way the wind blows…

When the last breeze blows
Then evil will know
The Son of Man
Has always known
Which way the wind blows…
